Beach Wedding in Mallorca - Getting Married by the Sea with Puntorosso

A beach wedding in Mallorca is the most romantic of all wedding dreams: bare feet in the sand, the sound of the waves, the sun sinking below the horizon - and beside you, the person you want to share your life with. Puntorosso turns this dream into reality, with the island's most beautiful beachside locations and years of experience planning weddings by the sea.

An honest word first: Mallorca's beaches are public and cannot simply be reserved for a private celebration. A ceremony on a public beach is only possible with a complex special authorisation from the coastal authority (Costas) - and this is not granted everywhere, nor at short notice. In practice, the most beautiful beach wedding therefore usually takes place at a private beach club or a location close to the shore - or as a symbolic, free-form ceremony with the sea as a backdrop. We will tell you openly what is genuinely possible at your chosen spot.

The Most Beautiful Beaches for a Wedding in Mallorca

Cala Mondrago (south-east)

A breathtaking bay with crystal-clear turquoise water and a white sandy beach - for many, the most beautiful spot on the island. As Cala Mondrago is a protected nature park (Parc Natural), ceremonies within the park itself generally cannot be authorised; we use it as a spectacular backdrop for photographs and plan the ceremony itself at a nearby stretch of beach where authorisation is possible.

Playa de Muro (north)

The 7 km-long natural beach in the north of the island offers wide expanses of sand for larger groups. Exclusive stretches of beach can be hired privately. Particularly popular for sunset weddings with views of the Tramuntana mountains.

Cala Pi (south-west)

A dramatic bay with sheer cliffs, a small white beach and an old watchtower as a backdrop. A unique setting for intimate beach weddings of up to 30 guests. One of the most photogenic spots on the entire island.

Illetes / Calvia (south-west, near Palma)

Exclusive beach clubs with private stretches of beach near Palma - perfect for couples who want to combine the beach with fine dining. Complete with their own catering service, canopy, floral decoration and live music. Capacity: 20-150 guests.

How a Beach Wedding in Mallorca Unfolds

  1. Preparing the ceremony area: We set up the canopy, floral decoration, chairs and aisle runner on the beach the evening before or in the morning
  2. Welcoming the guests: A reception with sparkling wine or Aperol Spritz on the beach
  3. The ceremony: A free-form ceremony led by a professional celebrant (in English), lasting around 30 minutes
  4. Photo session: The golden hour on the beach - the most beautiful photographs of the day
  5. Dinner: Moving on to a beach restaurant, seaside villa or nearby finca
  6. The party: DJ, live band or lounge music to suit your wishes, late into the night

What to Consider for a Beach Wedding in Mallorca

What Influences the Cost of a Beach Wedding

Beach weddings are often more affordable than finca weddings, as the location costs are lower. The key factors for your budget are the number of guests, the effort involved in permits and setup (canopy, seating, decoration), the suppliers and the season. Rather than fixed prices, we will prepare a free, tailored budget estimate for you.
